Dear Friends,

I have some treats coming for you!

Later this month, I’ve invited Jane Rohde, a long-time writer, to be my guest columnist. Her writing ranges from children’s stories to steamy romance.

Also, I’d like to share early details of a project that Jane and I are co-authoring. We’re gathering up to 10 authors of steamy romance to contribute to an anthology titled, “Here Comes the Bride.”

If you are an author who writes in the steamy romance genre, please consider joining us. The topic is flexible and can include any era, and any steamy romance, as long as there’s a bride or wedding in it. We’re looking for a 6,000-word (or more) edited and polished short story. This should be a work that is brand new, not a section of a project that has been published. (We want to be able to proclaim that this is all new.)

Please contact me if you or someone you know would like to join this project.

Contact me if you have questions or would like to be part of our book!

Please let me know if you’d be interested in reading the anthology when it’s completed!

PS In case you missed the announcement, A Vision of Home debuted right before Christmas! A Vision of Home, Book 3

It’s the further story of Louisa and Will on their honeymoon and the life they’re planning after the honeymoon. Both the e-book and paperback are available at most booksellers, along with the rest of the Louisa’s Vineyard Series, Louisa’s Passion and Will’s Secret.

Coming soon is the prequel to the Louisa’s Vineyard Series, Love at First Sight. You’ll meet John and Shannon, Louisa’s parents, when they first met. It’s very romantic and offers insights on how Louisa came to be who she is. I’m working on the ending right now! (Which, of course, will be Happily Ever After.)

Love at First Sight is funny, warm, and surprising, with characters you’ll love! Once it gets through the production process, it’ll be available later this year.

Warmest regards,

Here’s more about Jane:

Guest Columnist, Jane Rohde

I’ve been telling stories with happy endings most of my life. Pre-kindergarten (we did not have a TV back then), my grandmother read Madge Bigham’s lovely tale, Sonny Elephant, to me over and over. I loved the story, still do, but I just didn’t like the ending. (Three-year-olds are perverse creatures.)

My grandmother told me we could tell the story any way we liked, so each time she read the book, she would stop at the last chapter, and I would make up an ending I liked better.

Nowadays, I live with my husband in Fernandina Beach, Florida, where I get to watch the waves and feel the sand with my feet every day.
