Dear Friend –
The Bee Gees, a popular rock group in the 1970s, had a hit, “You Should Be Dancing.”* The song, an exuberant, upbeat number, made you want to get up and dance. It was #1 on the charts for one week. Fast-paced and energetic, two years later it was prominently featured in John Travolta’s film, Saturday Night Fever, which revived the song and made Travolta popular.
The chorus for “Dancing” included multiple repeats of the phrase, “You should be dancing, yeah.” And after hearing the song, you do want to be dancing!
I mention that because this week, The Greatest Thing launched. Even after spending more than a year writing it, I still enjoy the characters and plot. There are two weddings, one honeymoon in an exotic place, and two other characters finding their soulmates. Plus, lots of difficult challenges, home-buying, cooking (two recipes in the back of the book), and the kind of characters you’d like to know. And, of course, numerous steamy love scenes. But the one very difficult antagonist, well. . . I won’t hit you with a spoiler, but you’ll want to read what happens.
So, I feel like dancing! And dancing very much relates to my books, because many of the couples who wind up marrying get to know each other while dancing! (There! Now you see the connection.)

The paperback is over 550 pages, so it’s a book to sink into and enjoy the nuances, the playful characters, the interplay between the characters, especially their love lives, the challenges, and, once you’ve finished the book, a special, bonus epilogue. (I suggest waiting to read the epilogue until after you finish the book or you won’t know details that make the epilogue more fun.)
